Where I Come From – Thank God For The Country

Hey there!

Welcome to Back To The Countryside!

This is my first blog post on here, and I cannot say enough about how excited I am about it!

Now, I must say I’m not a new blogger, I do have another blog which if you’d like you can check that out here. My other blog is basically all about how to start a successful blog, and make money from it, pretty cool stuff!

Anyways, I’m really excited about this blog because this blog is really more about me, and who I am, and where I want to be.

I’ve been wanting to start this blog for a while, but I’ve just needed to really just get the guts to do it. Its something that means a lot to me, so it got me pretty nervous there!

This Is Who I Am

My name is Anna, Anna Banana I’m sure popped up in your head right now, totally okay too. I’m pretty used to that I must say, I get it, it’s catchy!

Alright, aside from that, I’m 24 as I’m writing this, I’m married, I have a pretty awesome little boy, two dogs, and a flock of chickens. Where I Come From

I live in Colorado due to a job offer my husband received.

I grew up in Michigan, my pride and joy. I’m from the cutest little ol’ farm town where my heart will always reside.

My family had a beautiful 150+ year old farmhouse, on acres of hay fields.

We grew up hunting, fishing, gardening, home cooking, and learning a lot about how to live off of the land. I learned a lot from my dad about hunting and fishing, and I hope to share a lot with y’all as well! It’s a great lifestyle, and it’s amazing knowing and seeing where your food comes from.

Growing up I always remember being outside and absolutely loving life, we (my siblings and I) had lots of room to run, and we had lots of things to do to keep up busy.

My Life Now

Here in Colorado, my flock of chickens supplies me with eggs, and my son a lot of entertainment and laughs!

We do have about a quarter acre, so there is still some room to roam! My son, has a lot of fun in the yard as that’s where we often tend to be. I have a garden in the making that I’m super thrilled about, which I will soon be writing some blog posts about and keep y’all updated on!

I do A LOT of DIY so I will write posts on it with lots of pictures 🙂

We connect a lot with nature, and I was raised with lots of encouragement on finding your inner self, and embracing it.

Nature is what I love, and where my heart loves to be! Thankfully, so does my husband and son.

Outside of home, I do volunteer work or “internships” at farms and ranches as I believe there is always something new to learn! Wanting a ranch of my own, I’d love to gain as much knowledge as I can. This is where I consider it as internships as well, because I will trade my labor for their knowledge. Win-Win in my eyes! Plus, I get to spend my time around some absolutely amazing animals.

My son will come with me at times too, when I’m working with smaller livestock such as goats. He is in love with the feel of being able to run through a pen of goats. Where I come from

As I’m doing my chores around the pen, I can hear him squealing in excitement and I turn to see him playing with the goats. Now I must mention the goats I work with are fainting goats, so they’re VERY entertaining!

I must say it’s a beautiful, messy, labor intensive, but incredibly rewarding lifestyle.

My Goals To You

As life passes I’d never wish for anyone to miss out on something they love. Life is short as much as I’d like to think it’s not.

I’d love to be here for you to find your inner self and find what you love to do and embrace it. Whatever that may be!

As I go along in life, I’ll write about it, and send out informational posts that I hope can help you in ways and maybe even expand your knowledge, just like it has expanded mine!

To show you DIY projects so you can do them too, and to be able to come here and find a connection with Back To The CountrySide.

As this website is more on my life, it’s a lot easier for me to write here. I mean I am talking about what I love, or what is going on in life!

I’m so glad you’re here, and I’m thrilled you’re here to read my first blog post on Back To The Countryside!

I’m always here if you need me, and I would love to hear from you!

Have you been raised in the country, and are looking for a way to get back?
